How To Party The Christmas Way
Over this festive period there will be more parties thrown than any other time of the year. Many associate Christmas and new years with having fun, letting their hair down and reacquainting themselves with old friends. However, its sometimes hard to know where to begin when throwing a party and it can soon become a little overwhelming. There are some key ingredients to a party though that allow all the other parts to work themselves out. These are the elements top of the list for a great party.
Good music. A party without music is like a hotel without beds…it just doesn’t work. The type of music you play will depend very much on the theme of the party and who the guests will be. Why not set up your laptop or MP3 player to play songs via your sound system, so that anyone can come along and add their favorite tunes to the play list. This means that everyone can have a say on which songs are played and there will likely be some very funny selections for some people.
Good food and drink. Whilst its great to see friends and have a dance, if most people are honest with themselves, they are there for the food and drink. Finger food is the best option to go for as people dont have to wonder around with plates and cutlery, and swap the crystal glass for paper cups as accidents will inevitably happen, especially when alcohol is involved. If youre on a tight budget, why not suggest that people bring a bottle along with them. After all, you are going to the trouble of hosting the party and as long as you provide the champagne glasses most will be happy to provide the bubbly.
Good decorations. Finally, it is very important to get your house or party location looking fun also. If your venue looks no different to how it usually does, you can’t expect anyone’s mood to change when they enter. You don’t have to raid the bank for party decorations and no one is expecting extravagance, just some nice streamers and maybe some fairy lights.Balloons are a great choice of decoration as you can play lots of games with them also.
