Although it is well worth noting that none of the major companies, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, have actually announced that there will be any new console on the way until at least 2012 it is well worth looking to see just what may be going into the new consoles.

Nintendo

Nintendo are the ones that need the most improvements done to it. The Wii is not a great console but Nintendo never promised it would be as successful as any of their predecessors. A lot of people will agree with me when I say that Nintendo have not had a decent console since the N64. Although the Wii has sold a lot more than the PS3 and the Xbox 360 it lacks games for the fans, decent graphics and has very poor motion sensing technology.

On the other hand it would seem that the Wii is merely a Nintendo prototype so imagine what the next console is going to be like. Expect better motion sensing and much better graphics.

Sony

The PS3 is not a bad console at all but there are still things that can be changed? The graphics on the system are very good but when it comes to unique games it would seem it is heavily behind rival Microsoft who win hands down. Online play needs to be improved upon too.

Microsoft

The Xbox 360 overall is a very good system indeed as it has great graphics and a really good community, does it have faults? Of course it does, it breaks a lot and could do with an internet upgrade as even the Wii has this.

Natal has to be something that is being released instead of a new console?

So perhaps all we need here are a few cable ties a couple of circuit breakers with a dose of deutsch connectors and we could be set for the next generation.
